There is always something new happening at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. Whether it is a new member joining, soulful choir selections, or advanced technology improvements, Mt. Olive stays buzzing with energy.

Yet, while the new generations continue to arrive, the core of Mt. Olive always stays the same.   Mt. Olive is a backbone and a beacon of the community. Through service and discipleship, we have answered the calls of those in need for 148 years. 

 

We are centrally located at 1180 Popular Road in Newnan, GA. We are also just two miles away from the Piedmont Hospital and a short drive from Interstate 85.

For those 143 years, we have stood strong and practiced our church message. That message has stayed the same and is the core of our church. 

​

“We see the Mt. Olive as a dynamic, spirit-filled, multi-cultural, multi-generational church,  numbering in the thousands, impacting  our community, our city, our nation, and our world through leadership and faith development through Jesus Christ.”

However, not all of those 148 years have been easy. Through trials, tribulations, success, and failures, Mt. Olive has stood tall. It is really remarkable, to say the least, and it shows the extent of what God can truly do.

Under the leadership of the presiding Pastor Yolanda Jones-Colton, we are here to every Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m. We also here throughout the week with Bible Study, Choir Rehearsals and etc.
